Tatum Freeman, a senior psychology major in the lab, presented research at the Southeast Regional IDeA conference in Louisville, KY. She completed this research exploring predictors of seeking nutrition counseling as part of the Outreach Scholars Program she participated in last summer. Nice job Tatum.

Two Lab Members Receive Grants
Hallie Jordan, a fourth year doc student, and Tatum Freeman, a senior psychology major received grants to support their travel to the Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction conference this spring. Hallie received a Graduate Competitive Travel Grant for $500 and Tatum received an Eagle Spur Grant for $1300. Both awards from Southern Miss. Congrats.!

Lab to Present at Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction
Lab doc students Hallie Jordan, Nick Militello, Robert Whitley and undergrad Tatum Freeman will be presenting their 4 posters at the collaborative perspectives on addiction conference this April in San Diego, CA. Hallie and Robert are presenting their dissertations, Tatum is presenting her Honors College thesis and Nick is presenting some preliminary findings from his thesis. Excellent job!

Militello Proposes Thesis
Nick Militello, a first year PhD student in the lab successfully proposed his thesis today. Nick is looking at the degree to which marijuana protective behavioral strategies and frequency of marijuana use mediate the association depression has with negative consequences and cannabis use disorder risk. Congrats Nick.

Freeman Wins Research Award
Tatum Freeman, a senior psychology major, was awarded an Excellence in Research Award from the Southern Miss Honors College for her Honors thesis. She studied the degree to which coping styles mediated the association PTSD symptoms had with alcohol outcomes. Congratulations Tatum!
